Jackson Park Golf Course in Palmyra was the setting of the 11th  Annual GRT Summer Send Off on July 22, 2023.  Our featured speaker was  Carolyn Henry who is dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine. She gave a breakdown of the number and type of students going to vet school and also emphasized that there is a shortage of veterinarians especially in rural areas encouraging our students attending to consider that profession.

This year 165 people attended including 47 students vying for our Luck of the Draw Raffle for 14 $500 scholarships.  Dr Henry surprised the crowd by donating another $500 scholarship in her name.  GRT also recognized the 11 students that received merit $1000 scholarships earlier in the year. This year GRT presented $!8,500 in scholarships
